Retinoic or Vitamin A Acid

Properties

This is one of the first synthesised retinoids. KLIGMAN demostrated its efficiency in treating acne, administered both topically and systemically, as well as in the treatment of cutaneous photo-ageing.

Effects and indications

Its indications were extended to mesotherapy by the work of PERSONELI who proposed it for treating photo-ageing, alopecias, streck marks, scars and psoriasis.
At the epidermic level, its topical adminstration provokes increased desquamation, thereby aiding the penetration of other substances.
At the dermic level it stimulates the fibroblasts, inhibits collagen degeneration and aids neoangiogenesis and the synthesis of fibronectin.
It seems to inhibit photo-carcinogenesis.
When administered in mesotherapy, it is used in an aqueous solution at a concentration of 1 mg per ml, in 2cc vials.
It is usually combined with the same quantity of 2% procaine, the mixture should be shaken vigorously before use.

Warning

Because of its teratogenic properties, women of child-bearing years who undergo treatment should use reliable contraceptive whenever retinoic acid is administered in mesotherapy (or any other parenteral route).

Anti-wrinkle protocol

1 cc - Retinoic acid 1mg/ml

1 cc - Procaine 2%
gel - X-DNA (X-ADN)

To better extract the DNA gel, introduce the retinoic acid and procaine mixture into the vial and stir with the needle that you have used to make the mixture. Once the DNA gel is diluted, extraction will prove much easier. Before injecting, shake the syringe vigorously to homogenise the contents.

4 x fortnighly sessions followed by monthly sessions for indefinite periode.
