X-DNA / X-ADN
DNA is a natural polymer present in the cell nucleus of all living beings, and the origin of the genetic code.
Properties
In cutaneous, articular and immune system degenerative lesions, it has been observed that DNA has the power to resotre necrosed cells, reconstructing connective tissue by stimulating the scarring processes.
Histologically, DNA can turn back the destruction of proteins (basically collagen), blood cells (leukocytes and erythrocytes), immunocompetitive structures and restore lesions caused by ischaemic processes.
Its therapeutic effects increase in proportion to the size of the DNA chain being used, as high polymerisation makes the product more active and improves tissue penetration. It posseses synergic action with Vitamin E.
Because of its restorative effects on proteins, cells and dermal connective tissue damaged by exposure to sunlight, oxidative stress and tobacco, it forms a part of the therapeutic arsenal used in treating photo-induced aging, and is also proposed, in a seconderay role, for the mesotherapeutic treatment of cellulitis.
Protocols in ageing
Le Coz proposes it for treating facial wrinkles accompanied by dehydrated, dry, dull skin with incipient ptosis:
2.5 cc - Procaine 2%
5 cc - X-ADN
5 cc - Organic Silica
The patiente undergoes fortnightly sessions for 3 months, followed by a monthly maintenance session.
Lopez Barri, in the case of photo-induced ageing and wrinkles, uses intradermal injections over the entire face, with special emphasis given to wrinkled areas, containing a mixture of:
1 cc - Procaine 2%
5 cc - X-ADN
0.5 cc - Buflomedil
The patiente undergoes fortnightly sessions for 2-3 months followed by a monthly maintenance session. Ensures visible results after the second or third session.
Protocol in cellulite
In treating cellulitis, Lederer consideres a mixture designed to restore micro-circulation, reabsorb oedemas, reconstruct connective tissue and neutralise free radicals, therefore the protocol to be followed would be the following:
5 cc - Lidocaine 0.5%
5 cc - X-ADN
2.5 cc - Rutin & Melilot Extract
One session a week for 6 weeks, followed by ten more fortnightly sessions and then a monthly maintenance session. Excellent tolerance to the protocol is observed.
Extracting the gel:
The X-ADN comes in phials as a gel that proves difficult to extract if you do not first introduce one of the other medications that you will be using. Stir the resulting mixture in the phial with the same needle that you use to introduce the medication and dilute the product, this will make extracting the result easier. It is best to shake the syringe well before injecting the mixture to homogenise all the components.
